I'm excited to share that I’ll be part of a group show with many talented local artists! I’d love for you to join us for the opening (despite the challenges of parking in the city lately!). It’s a great chance to connect, enjoy some fantastic art, and support our creative community. Hope to see you there!

Hello everyone,
I'm now on Instagram under gail_watercolour. This is where I've been posting a few of my #sketches, #paintings, # plein air studies and details of my work. Hope you visit! Hello everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying the summer now that the warm weather has finally arrived! Last month I was painting in the area where I reside (HRM), as part of the Parrsboro Plein Air Festival in ISOLATION. It was certainly something new for most of us (and personally out of my comfort zone), as we had to film ourselves before the event and while we were painting. It was great learning and seeing where everyone was painting from, hearing their stories and slowly watch some of the painting emerge. I think the organizers did an excellent job! Here's the link if you'd like to see the final results or learn more about the artists, judges, organizers....: https://parrsborocreative.com/pleinair/pipaf-in-isolation/ An unusual thing also happened to me while painting during this event, which I have never experienced before. I sometimes tap my brush on a roll of toilet paper (instead of a sponge...), to remove extra moisture, but this time I started to notice little bits (of what I first thought was pigment or old paint), all over my painting. I finally realized it was the toilet paper which had started to disintegrate! Too funny really... leave it to a COVID event to make me aware that not all toilet paper is created equally:)! Hope you are all doing well, staying safe and thanks for visiting my blog! Very proud to participate in an Art show with so many talented artists, but especially one which raises awareness on such a rare opportunity and important project, to protect our Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lake (BMBCL), Wilderness Area & proposed Park. The show runs the entire month of November at the Keshen Goodman Public Library. Please consider joining “Friends of BMBCL” (https://www.bluemountainfriends.ca/join), and receive their monthly newsletter (which highlights events, history and information about this area/proposed park/trails...and BMBCL artists)!
Many thanks to ALL the organizers and supporters from Friends of BMBCL, HNWTA, CARP NS, participating artists and speakers (Councillor Richard Zurawski, Joy Laking & Sunetra Ekanayake). Please help make this 3rd annual BMBCL Plein Air art exhibit a success! Pleased to hear that my painting "White Point" was among those selected and published for the Readers Competition in The Art of Watercolour! Congratulations to everyone who participated.
Pleased to be featured in the 3rd edition (December 2018), of the Friends of Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes Newsletter.
